It All Begins to Bloom.

"On the way home I held your camera like a bible. Just wishing so bad that it held some kind of truth. And I stood nervous next to you in the dark room. You dropped the paper in the water and it all begins to bloom. Yeah, they go wild."

My name's Ty and this is my photography. Enjoy.

Hi Ty, love your pictures you are so talented. Anyways I stumbled upon your blog by searching for the bright eyes lyrics, does it bug you that he says water instead of developer?

Thanks. ♥ It doesn’t bother me all that much, seeing as water is actually a pretty big part of the developing/printing process. Of course, it’s not water that causes photos to bloom (as Conor put it), but it still plays an important role. Also, in the song he says that he’s actually standing next to the person while THEY print the photos. Therefore, I can allow him a bit of poetic license as all the various chemicals tend to look like water under the red light of a darkroom, especially to someone who doesn’t know much about the whole process. :)

Sorry for the novel, haha. But I’ve actually given that line a lot of thought!
